The latest round of action on the F1 schedule will take place on June 23 at the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya. The Spanish Grand Prix will form the tenth race on the schedule this season, and Max Verstappen will be looking to re-establish his dominance at the top of the drivers’ standings.

Before Betting On Spanish Grand Prix

The Spanish Grand Prix is one of the most historic races on the schedule, as there are few that are older than this race. It was staged for the first time in 1913, and it has been held at the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya throughout recent history. However, the track will be replaced for this race on the schedule in 2026, with the contest moving to a newly established circuit in Madrid.

Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are tied for the most race wins at the Spanish Grand Prix, with both legendary drivers having recorded six career wins. Meanwhile, Ferrari is the leading constructor with 12 victories. Max Verstappen’s dominance on track was evident in the 2023 edition of the race after beating Hamilton by over 24 seconds.

Verstappen comes into this weekend after re-establishing his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship following a victory in the Canadian Grand Prix. His advantage was only made healthier based on the fact that three of the top five drivers failed to finish the race in Canada. That included a double DNF for Ferrari on a miserable weekend for the Italian team.

It would appear as though Lando Norris is Verstappen’s main threat once again in this race, as the British driver has achieved podium finishes in four of the last five races. He finished second in the Canadian Grand Prix after managing to hold off the late challenges posed by George Russell and Hamilton.
