St. Louis is a rookie team in the MLS but plays exceptionally well. They are atop the Western Conference and have a chance to stay there if they beat the Rapids. The team from Colorado sits last in the West, and plays very bad football right now.

Before betting on St. Louis City vs. Colorado Rapids

St. Louis is tied with LA FC in the first place in the West, and that’s because the expansion team had a run of four winless games recently, during which they won only one point. They bounced back last Saturday in San Jose against the Quakes, 1-2, and are now ready to stay on the same course.

When playing at CityPark Stadium, St. Louis is extremely efficient, and in all seven wins they posted this year, they scored at least two goals. Six of the recent seven there were with at least three goals, so you can see that the host play offensive-minded football in front of won fans.

The Rapids are tragic right now, not winning in the last nine events, sitting at the bottom of the West with 14 points in 19 appearances and just 14 goals scored, the conference low. These numbers tell you pretty much everything you need to know about the Rapids.

For the moment, they have three consecutive losses on the road, allowing nine goals in total, and looking pretty pale. Overall, when they play outside Colorado, those encounters usually bring plenty of goals, with four of the past five ending with four or more.

Our money here is on the hosts. They are among the best teams in the conference, play at home, and their rival is hammered to the bottom. So anything other but the hosts’ triumph here would be a bad choice.
