The inaugural UFL season has reached its midway point. This Week 6 game features a clash between the undefeated Birmingham Stallions (5-0) and the Memphis Showboats (1-4). The Stallions are aiming to maintain their dominance, while Memphis is in desperate need of a win to stay in postseason contention.

Before Betting on Stallions vs Showboats

Birmingham completely dominated the Roughnecks last week, winning 32-9 in Houston. It was another tremendous game for the UFL’s final undefeated team. The Stallions will be aiming to keep the perfect season alive in a second consecutive road game. They’ll head to Memphis for this week’s matchup.

The Stallions bullied the Roughnecks with their running game on Saturday. Three players carried the ball a total of 32 times for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns. QB Adrian Martinez had an especially notable game, passing for 155 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 138 yards. He’ll be aiming to build on that success against the Showboats.

Memphis came up short against the Panthers at home last week, losing 35-18. The defeat dropped the Showboats to 1-4 on the season, putting them in a tough spot. If they fail to win this week, Memphis will be on the cusp of playoff elimination. QB Troy Williams needs to bounce back after posting a 51% completion percentage and throwing two interceptions on Sunday.

A portion of Williams’ struggles can be blamed on the defense. After allowing Michigan to jump out to a quick 13-0 lead in the 1st quarter, the Showboats had to play the remainder of the game from behind. Doing so forced them to pass the ball 37 times while rushing it only 11. Memphis needs the defense to get some early stops and allow the offense to employ a more balanced game plan this week.

The Stallions are heavily favored to win this game, despite being on the road. They haven’t lost yet this season, and will be facing a struggling Showboats team. Be wary of the Stallions here, though. Each week they stay undefeated increases the chances their next game will be a loss, and road games are never easy to win. Birmingham should win here, but it may be a lot closer than expected.
