The Stanley Cup playoffs roll on this weekend, as the Colorado Avalanche look to build on their win in game one of the series. The Tampa Bay Lightning will be looking to land their first blow of the series and level the finals before the action moves to the Amalie Arena next week. But, can the two-time defending champions level the series in Colorado on Saturday evening?

Before Betting On NHL Lightning vs Avalanche

We were treated to potentially one of the most absorbing opening games of a Stanley Cup finals earlier this week, as the Colorado Avalanche sent Ball Arena into a frenzy with an overtime winner in game one. Many believed that these two sides are very evenly matched, and that’s just how the opening game played out.

The Avalanche took an early stranglehold on the game by scoring three in the opening period, but that advantage was wiped out in the second period, as the Avalanche scored two unanswered goals. Tensions were very high at Ball Arena, and the nerves of the fans could be felt as we got closer and closer towards overtime.

However, the additional period was needed to determine a winner in the opening game of the finals this year. Fortunately for the hosts, the only goal in the additional period went their way. Artturi Lehkonen, Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin and Andre Burakovsky all scored for the Avalanche. Meanwhile, goals for the Lightning were netted by Mikhail Sergachev, Ondrej Palat and Nick Paul.

Game two promises to be another interesting NHL fixture between the Lightning and Avalanche. The over 6.0 goals at +100 with BetOnline is a selection that grabs the attention immediately. Meanwhile, I’d once again stick with the Lighting (+1.5) selection, which means a -191 play with Pinnacle.
