The Los Angeles Angels appeared to strike gold with the free agent signing of Shohei Otani this offseason. The Angels beat out several other teams bidding for his services, and their future looked extremely bright. Unfortunately, Otani has struggled to stay healthy, and the Angels find themselves in fourth place in the American League West. The Angels will need a huge second half run if they are going to get back into the playoff mix.
Lefthander, Andrew Heaney will make the start for the Angels on Sunday night. Heaney has been up and down this season, but appears to be a mainstay in the Angels rotation. Heaney is just 4-6 with a 3.94 earned run average, but does have a complete game shutout this season. The Angles hope that Heaney can shut down a hot Dodgers lineup in the series finale.
