The NFL has given their fans a string of great Sunday Night Football games, and the week 16 showdown should be no exception. The high flying Kansas City Chiefs will head Northwest to take on the resurgent Seattle Seahawks. Kansas City will hope to win another game with their offense, while the Seahawks will try to win on defense.

Seattle comes into this game holding on to the fifth spot in the NFC Playoff picture. The Seahawks saw their four-game winning streak snapped a week ago, but still come into this game with an 8-6 record. Kansas City also suffered a disappointing loss in week 15, but still post an 11-3 record. The Chiefs are tied with the Chargers for the top spot in the AFC. Kansas City is a 2.5 point favorite on Sunday night.

Chiefs Offense Still Explosive

Despite losing in week 15, the Chiefs will still come into this game with one of the top offenses in the NFL. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown for a league-leading 4,453 yards and 45 touchdowns this season. Mahomes looks like one of the top MVP candidates this season, but he has plenty of weapons around him. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is one of these weapons, leading the team with 1,304 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

While the offense for the Chiefs is scoring more than 33 points per game, the defense has also given up 27.1 points per game. Kansas City will need to find a way to slow down the running attack of Seattle, while also getting some pressure on QB Russell Wilson. Defensive lineman Chris Jones has racked up 14 sacks this season and will be looking for an NFL record sack in his 11th straight game. The Chiefs defense will need to show up for this game.

Carson Leading Seahawks Ground Attack

Running back Chris Carson has emerged as a real weapon for the Seattle Seahawks offense. Carson is averaging 4.5 yards per carry this season and has racked up 913 yards on the ground. The Seahawks offense is a balanced attack with quarterback Russell Wilson having another terrific season. Wilson has thrown for 31 touchdowns to just 6 interceptions this season. Seattle should be able to score some points against a sub-par Chiefs defense.

The Seattle defense has been solid all season long, giving up just 20.9 points per game. Seattle lost several key defensive players before the season, but linebacker Bobby Wagner is still leading the team with 114 tackles. The Seahawks have racked up 36 sacks so far this season, and getting pressure on Mahomes will be a key to this game.

Kansas City Wins In Seattle

Seattle has always been one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL, but the Seahawks have already lost two games at home this season. Kansas City has proven that their offense will travel, and they should be able to put up points in this game. The Chiefs just have too many weapons to be completely shut down by a solid Seahawks defense. Look for this to be a competitive game, but the Chiefs will get a huge road win. Bet the Chiefs -2.5 over the Seattle Seahawks.
