Matt Stafford’s and Jared Goff’s careers bonded the Rams and Lions, and the two are the center of attention ahead of NFL Week 1 Sunday Night Football. Additionally, this is the replay of last year’s NFC Wild Card game, which only makes it more interesting. For all you gridiron lovers, we have prepared previews and NFL picks for the entire round.
Before Betting on Rams vs. Lions Week 1 Sunday Night Football
The Rams lost Aaron Donald, and that’s the only minus this team suffered throughout the summer. All their other moves were bingos, first and foremost, drafting Darius Robinson, who certainly won’t match Donald’s contribution on the defensive side but will present a brutal force on that side of the football.
Los Angeles is very potent on the offensive side, with Stafford having WR Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, which is the breakthrough of the year. Plus, the RB Williams, who had 12 TDs last year and 1,144 yards. No doubt, they might be one of the best units in the league.
On the other hand, the Lions’ offense was the best in the previous year. Jared Goff perfectly synced everything on the field, and if he does the same this season, well, the Lions could go all the way. Yes, you’ve heard us right—they could win the Super Bowl. They are one of four teams not to reach that game, let alone win it.
But even though many speak about their offense, we must mention that the Lions brought three new cornerbacks, including Carlton Davis, plus two rooks, 24th overall pick Terrion Arnold, and the 2nd round selection Ennis Rakestraw. They will be one hell of a backfield.
Rams vs. Lions Head to Head
The two teams have met 88 times, and the Rams have a slight lead in the all-time series, 45-42. One game ended without a winner. Though, the most recent match was this January, when Detroit beat the Rams in the NFC Wild Card Game 24-23.

---|---|---|---|

Lions | -185 | -3.5 | 50.5 |
The fans at Ford Field should see fireworks in this one. Their favorites are closer to winning this event because of enhanced defense and the fact that the Rams have yet to adjust to missing Aaron Donald on the defensive side.
