From U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis – the home of the Vikings – Super Bowl 52 will be played on Sunday. The Super Bowl is the NFL Championship, the final game of the season. The game will feature the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. The New England Patriots are seeking back to back Super Bowl titles. New England went 13-3 in the regular season and then downed the Titans and Jaguars in the postseason.

In the NFC – the Philadelphia Eagles also finished with a 13-3 record. The Eagles ran away with the NFC East, and then downed the Atlanta Falcons, followed by a win over the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC title game. The New England Patriots are -4.5 over the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis on Sunday.

The New England Patriots are looking to take down the Super Bowl crown, which would be the sixth for quarterback Tom Brady. A season ago, the Patriots had to come from behind to beat the Atlanta Falcons following trailing 28-3. This season the Patriots lost games in the regular season to the Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins.

Tom Brady threw for more than 4,500 yards during the regular season. The quarterback threw for 32 touchdowns, with 8 of them going to tight end Rob Gronkowski. Dion Lewis was the top running back for New England with 6 touchdowns, and just shy of 900 yards. The Patriots finished 2nd in all of the National Football League in passing yards, with 276.1 per game.

Eagles Led by Pedersen

The Philadelphia Eagles are not a surprise team in the Super Bowl, but have been underdogs in the first two postseason games. The Eagles won the division by 4 games, and then came in as underdog against the Falcons and then the Vikings. The Eagles lost their quarterback Carson Wentz late in the season, and have gone with backup Nick Foles in the postseason.

The Eagles are one of the top rushing teams in all of the National Football league. LeGarrette Blount will face his former team, and was the top rusher on the team. Jay Ajayi came over mid season to help the run game. The offense finished third in the league with 28.6 points per game, while the defense was 4th, as they allowed 18.4 points per game.

Patriots Whip Eagles on Sunday

The New England Patriots are battle tested. They are seeking back to back Super Bowl titles, and have nearly every player back from that team. Head coach Bill Belichick has done this several times and will have his team ready to go. The Eagles underdog story has been pretty good, but it ends with a loss in Super Bowl 52. Look for the passing game of the Patriots to be too much for the Eagles. Bet the New England Patriots -4.5 over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52 on Sunday.
