The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for Super Bowl LVII in Arizona on Sunday, February 13, 2023. Patrick Mahomes against Jalen Hurts is the matchup everybody is wondering about, and two young quarterbacks will take the biggest stage of the NFL season.
Jalen Hurts Is An MVP Candidate In His First Super Bowl
Jalen Hurts, who went from Alabama to Oklahoma, has surprised everybody and become an MVP candidate this year and led the Eagles to the top seed and the Super Bowl. Now is the tie for him to shine on the biggest stage against the Chiefs, a team that has been to the Super Bowl three times in the last five years.
Hurts has a stellar MVP resume: He has 22 passing touchdowns with 3,701 yards and just six interceptions. Hurts led the team in rushing touchdowns with 13 and has 760 rushing yards on 165 carries in 15 regular season games.
Hurts rushed for one touchdown in each of the two playoff games, threw for two scores against the New York Giants, and didn’t throw for one against the 49ers as the Eagles decided to go run-heavy.
The Chiefs rank 16th in the NFL in points allowed (21.7), so there is a path to a high-scoring game for both teams.
Jalen Hurts Super Bowl LVII Touchdown Props And Odds
Prediction for Jalen Hurts Touchdown
The highest odds are 1+ touchdown at -126. However, the Eagles and Chiefs seem to be on track for a high-scoring affair. The Chiefs have the top offense in the NFL, and the Eagles are third in the NFL in points per game. Jalen Hurts became a non-factor down toward the end of both playoff games because they were blowouts — 38-7 and 31-7.
However, that most likely won’t be the case against the Chiefs, and there’s a good chance this game ends up with both teams scoring at least three touchdowns. Jalen Hurts rushes for one, and throws for one, and the 2+ hits at +400.
Prediction: Jalen Hurts 2+ touchdowns (+400)
