Terrance McKinney vs. Brendan Marotte is one of the most interesting preliminaries on the UFC Fight Night 230 fight card. McKinney, who’s got a 100% finish rate, was supposed to fight Chris Duncan, but the Scottish fighter withdrew because of visa problems. Brendan Marotte stepped in and is going to make his UFC debut on October 14.

Before Betting on Terrance McKinney vs. Brendan Marotte

Terrance McKinney is 14-6, with none of his 20 fights going the distance. That said, “T-Wrecks” is a very fun fighter to watch, who’s got plenty of weapons in his arsenal. He’s a great wrestler with amazing grappling skills, who also has powerful striking.

His opponent at UFC Fight Night 230 is Brendan Marotte a.k.a. “The Kid” who’s never fought in the UFC before. This 26-year-old is 8-1 overall with six finishes, five of which happened by KO/TKO.

Marotte is a decent boxer who moves fast, which is why McKinney probably won’t find it easy to finish him by a knockout. But can he beat him with a submission?

Terrance McKinney will win this fight; we have no doubt about that. He’s had a full camp to prepare for UFC Fight Night 230, not to mention that he’s been in top shape, having fought three UFC fights already. Brendan Marotte is a decent striker, but we don’t think he can do much in this fight. Instead, our prediction is that McKinney will take him down and finish him with a submission.

Pick: Terrance McKinney to win by submission
