Texas Tech (10-5) and Iowa State (12-2) have some things in common, such as each being in some very close games lately. The Cyclones have had much better results in those contests though, beating Oklahoma 63-60 and TCU 69-67 last week both on the road. TTU on the other hand lost by three to Kansas and five in OT against the Sooners and both of those games were at home.

The Cyclones haven’t found a replacement for the scoring they lost, but they have clamped down their defense ranking 8th in the country allowing just 58.2 ppg. Texas Tech is one of the best shooting teams in the nation so something will have to give on Tuesday night.
Texas Tech has dropped their first three conference games for the first time in 7 years, but they’ve also been hit by injuries in the front court with 6’11 Daniel Batcho questionable with a finger injury and in the back court with Pop Isaacs suffering a concussion. That’s over 23 ppg out of the lineup if neither can go in Ames.
