The last place in the Western Conference playoffs will be determined this Friday night in Minneapolis.

Before Betting on Thunder vs. Timberwolves

The OKC Thunder (+160) went to the Big Easy confidently, expecting to put on a solid performance worthy of a playoff series. And they did that. The Thunder beat the higher-ranked team in the standings 123-118, and ended the Pelicans’ postseason plans.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points, while Josh Giddey added 31 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds, missing a triple-double by just one board. Lugentz Dorth was efficient as well, having 27 buckets and these three guys have carried OKC with a bit of help of the others.

The loss to the Los Angeles Lakers was particularly painful because the Wolves appeared to have the game in hand. Instead of closing the match, they allowed the Lakers to flip the result, and in the end, the guests from Minneapolis were the ones who fought for their life. After forcing an OT, they had no juice to combat the LAL in the additional five minutes.

Anthony Edwards was unable to get things going. The Antman made just 3 of 17 field goal attempts, and he was 0 for 9 from deep, which might be the main reason for the T-Wolves’ loss. When your best player has such a bad game, even the easiest opponents can be a problem, let alone the Lakers.

The Thunder is a very tough team to beat, especially once they have momentum coming into the battle, which is the case now. As for the T-Wolves, Gobert is back, but the chemistry is ruined, and we would go with the guests winning here.
