The Los Angeles Rams already have a two-game lead in the NFC West, leading the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks who are 1-2. Rams Receivers Getting It Done
The Los Angeles Rams have a trio of wide receivers who have put up monster numbers so far this season. Brandin Cooks is averaging over 17 yards per receptions through three games and has caught 19 passes for 336 yards. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are both averaging more than eleven yards per reception and have each found the end zone twice. Quarterback Jared Goff has a ton of weapons at his disposal and has been finding them this season.
The Rams defense could be without their two starting cornerbacks in this game. Aqib Talib has already been ruled out for Thursday night and Marcus Peters is listed as questionable. Cory Littleton has been the best Rams defensive player so far this season, recording 26 tackles and also intercepting a pass. Los Angeles will look to put a ton of pressure on Kirk Cousins in this game.
Cousins Impressive For Vikings
Speaking of Cousins, the quarterback has been impressive in his first season with the Vikings. Cousins has completed 68 percent of his passes so far this season, and has thrown for 965 yards and seven touchdowns. There will be a ton of added pressure on Cousins in this game with running back Dalvin Cook potentially being inactive.
Safety Harrison Smith is off to another great start to the 2018 season. Smith has already recorded two sacks, forced one fumble, and also intercepted a pass for the Vikings. Minnesota has recorded ten sacks as a team already this season, but they haven’t been able to slow down the run. The Vikings defense needs to show up in this game.
Vikings Can’t Keep Up With Rams
The Vikings have an incredibly talented team, but might be experiencing a bit of a hangover after an impressive 2017 season. Minnesota needs to establish their running game early in this one if they want any chance to keep up with the explosive Rams.
