Our Titans vs. Bills prediction is that the teams will combine to score more than 41 points (-110). Tennessee (1-4) is playing the same brand of uninspired football it played in 2023, which led to the firing of respected head coach Mike Vrabel. New coach Brian Callahan in his first NFL head coaching job has decisions to make, notably regarding quarterback Will Levis.

Buffalo (4-2) is in first place in the AFC East with a 1.5-game lead over the second-place Dolphins and a two-game lead over the sole threat to division supremacy, the dysfunctional but talented Jets.

Offshore Odds: Bills Are Heavy Favorites at Home

The Clock Is Ticking on Will Levis

Statistically, QB Will Levis has been consistent since he took over as the starter in 2023. That consistency was one of mediocrity with memorable flashes of brilliance. Titans rookie head coach Brian Callahan appears increasingly frustrated with the mistakes.

Levis is dealing with a shoulder injury and has been a limited participant in practice. And healthy or not, his struggles have jeopardized his status as starting quarterback. Backup Mason Rudolph isn’t great, but he’s not a gaffe machine. The blame for the Titans’ 1-4 start does not fall solely on Levis, and costly free agent wide receiver Calvin Ridley expressed his displeasure at his lack of targets. The team has signs of disarray.

Buffalo Upgrades Its Receiving Corps

The Bills took steps to improve their roster by trading with Cleveland to get receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper posted “Move or rust” on his Instagram page, clearly happy to get away from the Browns. Buffalo’s run game has been solid and they’ve been middle of the pack in all other categories. Still, much of that is due to a blowout loss to the Ravens in which Baltimore ran up 427 total yards and Derrick Henry ran wild.

The Titans do not have a Derrick Henry or Lamar Jackson. The Bills are expected to have James Cook back. With Cooper joining the huddle, scoring against Tennessee should not be a problem.

Titans vs Bills Prediction: The Spread is Too Large; Take the Over

Despite how shaky the Titans have been, a nearly double-digit spread is too high. Three of their four losses were within seven or fewer points. Avoid the high spread. Our Titans vs Bills prediction strategy is to avoid picking a winner and bet on the teams to combine and score over 41 points.
