Tennessee Hopes To Build on Win Over New England
Before the 2024 season began, the Titans were a team in flux. Brian Callahan took over as head coach for the respected Mike Vrabel. They allowed star running back Derrick Henry and signed Tony Pollard. Tennessee committed to Will Levis as the quarterback, parted ways with veteran Ryan Tannehill, and traded young Malik Willis.
Now they’re 2-6 and the team has a longer-than-anticipated road back to contention. They won their Week 9 game in overtime over New England.
Their defense has been reasonably good. Tennessee is ranked first in defensive passing yards allowed and 11th in defensive rushing yards per game. Their -11 takeaway differential is ranked 31st.
Offensively, they are near the bottom of the league in passing yards and points per game. The running game has been decent, ranked 12th in the league with 125 yards per game.
