White Off to a Great Start
A win over the Bengals wasn’t expected at all in New York. But the guy who needs to be credited the most for it is Mike White, a quarterback who had his first NFL start this Sunday. White jumped in instead of injured Zach Wilson, playing a fantastic match.
He had 405 yards thrown, 37 completions in 45 passing attempts, for three touchdowns and two picks. Some would emphasize the two interceptions, but we are definitely going to point out his three score-passes and 405 yards.
Michael Carter had 95 receiving yards, plus 77 on the ground with a rushing score. He was amazing on Sunday night, and the Bengals had no solution for him. Jamison Crowder added 84, and Ty Johnson 84 with a TD reception. Tyler Kroft and Braxton Berrios both had one TD reception each.
Colts Have to Win
The Indianapolis Colts lost against the Titans after OT, 34-31, missing a superb chance to get back in the race for the divisional title and maybe even for a much better position in the AFC. Also, their solid momentum was stopped in this one, following back-to-back wins over the Texans and the 49ers.
But that is not all. WR TY Hilton is out for this match, while G Quentin Nelson stands as questionable. It means that Carson Wentz might be in problems.
So far this year, his stats haven’t been that bad, with 1.926 yards and 14 touchdowns, and three picks. He also had five fumbles and one rushing touchdown, but in general, this guy has been doing the job correctly. All eyes are on him before this event, and that might create pressure. Finally, we will see can Wentz play like he used to in Philly.
Jets vs Colts Head to Head
The last game between these rivals was in 2020, and the Colts smashed the Jets in Indianapolis, 36-7. Overall, the franchise from Indiana leads in the series, 43-32.
Jets vs Colts Prediction and Pick
This should be an easy task for the Colts, who play at home against one of the weakest teams in the league. We were fascinated with the way White handled matters against the Bengals, but he could do that against the team that is still growing and figuring out the chemistry on the field. Against the Colts… well let’s say that it won’t be that easy.
