Portland was briefly back home following a nasty road trip that saw them losing three events in a row, two in Oklahoma City and one in Denver against the Nuggets. After those games, they jumped to Moda Center to beat the Hornets, 124-113, before continuing toward San Francisco.
Nurk had 28 points and 15 boards, with six assists and three blocks, posting one of the best games of the entire year so far. Though, Jerami Grant was the leading scorer with 32 points and 10 boards, while Anferne Simons scored 18. Lillard wasn’t in the mood, having 17 buckets, 1-for-10 for three.
As for the Warriors, everybody expected them to crack due to various injuries, but they were surprised with three wins in a row. After beating the Grizzlies and the Hornets, Steve Kerr’s crew was better than the Utah Jazz in their previous clash, 112-107.
The Dub Nation went wild in the final period, limiting the rivals to 13 points, while they scored 24. Jordan Poole was the best among the hosts when it came to points, with 26, while Donte DiVincenzo had a good role scoring 19 buckets. Ty Jerome came off the bench to add 17.
