  • Two UCL games are set for this Tuesday.
  • Bayern Munich hosts Salzburg following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
  • Liverpool looks to keep a 2-0 lead gained in Milan against Inter.

The rematches of the UCL round of 16 are about to start and we are here to deliver the previews and the picks for Tuesday’s events. One is in Munich at the Allianz Arena, while the other is in Liverpool at the famous Anfield Road.

Bayern Munich vs. Red Bull Salzburg

The German powerhouse has no other option but to go full speed ahead and forget the poor result from this weekend once they played only 1-1 at home vs. Bayer Leverkusen. Overall, Bayern’s performances haven’t been that good in the last few weeks, and we saw them winning only twice in the recent five games, which is pretty odd for them.

Meanwhile, Salzburg is without a loss in the past seven clashes, but we need to say that they managed to post just one victory away from home in the previous four matchups. The Bulls had problems with injured players but managed to get out of that situation without some notable scars.

Watching this game realistically, we simply can’t propose anything else but to bet on Bayern’s easy win. Yes, Nagelsmann’s boys did look a bit deflated in the last month or so, but still, when playing at home, Bayern is the favorite against any team in the world. We are going with the hosts covering a 1.5-goal spread, because of the significance of the contest and the motive to get out of the crisis with a confident victory. Also, as mentioned before, Salzburg wasn’t very good on the road, and just to add that their previous rivals were far weaker than the Bavarians.

Pick: Bayern -1.5

Liverpool vs. Inter Milan

This Saturday, the Reds had a tough game against West Ham but managed to win it, despite not looking as confident as usual. Still, this was the 12th consecutive victory for Liverpool, who is looking unstoppable at the moment, and may we add, that, in our personal opinion, Klopp’s unit is in the best form of all top teams in Europe. They scored at least two goals in nine of those 12 wins and posted eight clean sheets during that run.

Inter Milan finally won this Saturday, defeating Salareintana, one of the worst teams in Serie A. Simone Inzaghi’s boys triumphed 5-0, which was the third straight time that they haven’t allowed a goal. Overall, Nerazzurri snapped the negative streak that lasted for five events, during which they lost a solid number of points in the domestic championship, allowing the title rivals to catch up with them in the standings.

Things are clear here, Liverpool is better than Inter, and additionally, the hosts will have the crowd on their side, which is quite an important factor in these games. Our final verdict here is for the Reds to win and to increase the profits, we will go with Liverpool to cover the same spread as Bayern, -1.5 goals.

Pick: Liverpool -1.5
