Two big clubs clash, one from Germany and the other from Scotland. Both of them have the same ambition and they need this piece of silverware to get back to the top layer of European football.

Eagles Flying High
This is once in a lifetime chance for the majority of Eintracht’s players to write down their names in history books. We are more than sure that for all of them, winning this competition would be the crown of their career.
Eintracht plays very well on the road in the EL. They posted all three wins during the knockout stage, triumphing twice in Spain, once against Betis, and the other time in Barcelona, once stunning Blaugrana, who suffered a massive setback in that one. At last, the Eagles were better in London against West Ham, 1-2, sinking the Hammers’ hopes of winning the trophy.
They aren’t playing attractive football but prefer to lay back and strike from the transition. Filip Kostic is the leading player, with the pacey winger being the most influential figure on the field.
Rangers in Excellent Form
The Gers won four contests in a row, and have just one defeat in the last 10 events, plus one draw. In the other eight events, they would win. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s unit had a tough period but accelerated at the best possible moment.
They have a massive swing not only due to fantastic and superb performances but also due to a trophy won recently, once beating Celtic in the finals of the Scottish Cup. That one was a massive morale boost for the Gers.
What isn’t very good, is the fact that on the road, they usually allow goals. That was the case in eight of the last nine road trips, and in order to win the EL title, they will have to be very careful against Eintracht.
Head to Head
Eintracht and the Rangers met in the Champions Cup back in 1960. The German team was much better, winning 6-1 at home and 6-3 in Glasgow. They would go to the finals but lost to Real Madrid, 7-3. We can say that they played quite the efficient football back then.
Prediction
The Rangers are in better shape, and they seem more cohesive, despite the fact that several of their important players won’t play, Morelos being one of them. Still, the Scots are looking better and having in mind that they play similar to Eintracht, it means that the Eagles won’t have too many chances to strike from the counter-attack. On the other side, Glasgow knows how to play against defensive-minded crews.
