UFC 248, which takes place tomorrow, is anxiously anticipated by fans from all over the world. Two title bouts are guaranteeing a good spectacle.

Adesanya’s Quest for Glory

The Nigerian fighter fighting out of New Zealand decided to move up in divisions, and to be honest, Yoel Romero (13-4) might be his toughest rival so far. The fact that the Cuban never won the belt, it was mostly due to his recklessness and problems with weight, which often presented a limiting factor in his preparations for title challenges.

We saw him missing the weight twice, and due to this reason, he couldn’t compete for the belt. At the UFC 221, he defeated Luke Rockhold, but that one didn’t count, and the Soldier of God was once again without gold. But to put that aside, Romero is considered one of the best fighters in UFC. His last two defeats against Whittaker and Costa were via split decision, and many do say that he didn’t deserve to lose in either of them.

That is why he has an enormous motivation to defeat Adesanya (18-0) and finally takes what he believes is rightfully his. Yet, that won’t be easy.

Israel is arguably the biggest sensation in the UFC right now, and according to some experts, a legit successor of Jon Jones in terms of domination over his rivals. Though he might not be as versatile at the moment as Bones, Adesanya is ripping into pieces all of his opponents. The latest in his book was Whittaker, the guy who defeated Romero twice, and the former champion to whom the Nigerian unified his middleweight belts.

With a superb striking force, and long reach, the 30-year old presents a nightmare, and it is very hard for anybody to defend against such a monster. Not to mention his quickness, which is astonishing for a guy that size.

Romero is a former wrestler, but his punching power is amazing. Although many would believe that because of his previous experience, most of his matches end on the canvas, that is not the situation. It is why all the true fans can’t wait for this bout to start, and they expect to see a big KO ending this contest.

Jedrzejczyk Threatening to Zhang

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (16-3), the former strawweight champion, wants to reclaim her belt after losing it to Rose Namajunas all the way back in 2017. One of the most dominant ladies in this sport is very keen on getting back into the throne, and she already fired multiple threats to the reigning champion, who pretty much smiled on all of them.

Zhang Weili (20-1) will defend her title for the first time. She won it last August, becoming the first Chinese champion in this organization. Now, Weili is about to have the toughest possible task when it comes to preserving her status.

These two fighters are ferocious hitters and are also using high tempo in order to crush their rivals. It is why some consider this fight probably more interesting than the one between Adesanya and Romero.
