It comes as little surprise that the Belarusian will be the market favorite to book her spot in the final, as she looks to win a third Grand Slam title. Sabalenka was the beaten finalist in the US Open final last year, but she has progressed through the tournament this year in dominant style.
Her standout performance came in the previous round after dominating Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng in straight sets. The American booked her place in the final four with another professional display against Spanish star Paula Badosa on Tuesday, claiming a straight sets win. Navarro converted on five from eight break point opportunities, and hit a commanding 66 winners in the success. But, she will need to raise her performance levels further to overcome Sabalenka.
