Before Betting Emma Navarro vs Aryna Sabalenka

Business picks up at Flushing Meadows over the next couple of days, as the women’s US Open final will be set. The first of the two semi-finals is set for Friday, as an interesting clash between American star Emma Navarro and Aryna Sabalenka has been set.

It comes as little surprise that the Belarusian will be the market favorite to book her spot in the final, as she looks to win a third Grand Slam title. Sabalenka was the beaten finalist in the US Open final last year, but she has progressed through the tournament this year in dominant style.

Her standout performance came in the previous round after dominating Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng in straight sets. Sabalenka dropped just three games on her way to a dominant success, smashing 73% of her winners on the first serve. She also broke her rival on four from eight occasions, and hit 60 winners.

Navarro will have home support on her side this week, as the American bids to reach a first ever Grand Slam final. She has been excellent throughout the tournament to this point, dropping just two sets. She caused one of the big upsets in the Grand Slam this year after defeating last year’s champion Coco Gauff in the round of 16.

The American booked her place in the final four with another professional display against Spanish star Paula Badosa on Tuesday, claiming a straight sets win. Navarro converted on five from eight break point opportunities, and hit a commanding 66 winners in the success. But, she will need to raise her performance levels further to overcome Sabalenka.
