The US Open finals feature Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz. The American will have huge support, as he is the first US player in the title battle since 2009. However, Sinner is an absolute favorite in this one.

Before Betting on Sinner vs. Fritz

Sinner is the leading player in the ATP rankings and the most consistent one this year. His record in 2024 is 54 wins and five defeats, with the Italian having won five titles, one of which was the Grand Slam in Australia. He came to New York with a trophy from the Cincinnati Masters, where he showed impressive dominance.

The Italian had some rough times in the semis against Jack Draper, whom he did defeat 3-0 in sets, but following a huge battle in the opening two sequences where Sinner edged the rival 7-5, 7-6, before winning the final part 6-2.

Fritz went to hell and back against Tiafoe, who had the lead twice between the sets but didn’t have enough composure to close the deal and eliminate his fellow American. We can say that both players looked even here, despite Fritz’s confident fifth set, where he allowed Tiafoe to take only one game.

There is no need to be polite here; the biggest factor for Fritz here will be his first serve. If he manages to keep the percentages at a high level, he might stand a chance against the Italian. If not, when he really doesn’t have too bright of a future on Sunday night.

Jannik Sinner vs. Taylor Fritz Head to Head

Two matches between these guys took place in the past, and the result is even, 1-1. Fritz was better in 2021 in Indian Wells, where two years later, Sinner avenged that defeat.

Even if Fritz has an excellent first serve, Sinner is still a favorite, and we have to bet on the world No.1 to triumph. He is a more complete player than the American.
