The US Open is the next major on the golf schedule this season, with the play at Pinehurst Resort getting underway on Thursday. The betting for this year’s event is dominated by Scottie Scheffler, who is chasing a second major success of the season. But, there could be value in the top ten betting for the event this weekend.

Before Betting On US Open Top Ten

Given the dominance that Scottie Scheffler has at the top of the outright market, then it could be interesting to examine the top ten market for areas of value when betting on the US Open this weekend. A number of leading stars could have excellent claims in this market, including Collin Morikawa.

Morikawa comes into the weekend after an excellent second at the Memorial Championship, and his record in the majors is excellent. He has already finished fourth at the PGA Championship and third at the Masters this year. The American has achieved top-ten finishes in nine of his 19 major appearances.

Tommy Fleetwood is another player that provides value in the betting this weekend. The English star has finished in the top ten of eight majors, and inside the top five on seven occasions in 26 overall appearances. While a major success has eluded him, he is expected to be at least competitive at the US Open this weekend.

One at a bigger price worth considering this weekend is 2013 US Open champion Justin Rose. The English player has been below his best at the major since finishing third in 2019, but he comes into this weekend’s event after a tie for sixth at the PGA Championship, which was his best major outing since 2019.
