Prepare for a thrilling match between the USA and Germany, set to take place in Manila this Friday. It is the semis of the FIBA World Cup, so the stakes can’t be higher.

Before Betting on the USA vs. Germany

Team USA has showcased its dominance throughout the tournament, securing victories over Jordan, New Zealand, Greece, and Montenegro. Unfortunately, they stumbled against Lithuania but quickly redeemed themselves with a decisive triumph over Italy in the quarterfinals, 100-63.

Anthony Edwards leads the team with 17.3 points per game, but we can say that Mikal Bridges presents an x-factor on the court, with the strong forward being a huge contributor on both ends. Meanwhile, Tyrese Haliburton averages 5 assists per game and comes off an excellent three-point shooting performance against Italy when he made six downtown shots.

On the other hand, Germany has been unstoppable, staying as the sole undefeated team in the competition. Their defeatless streak has been marked by triumphs over Australia, Japan, Finland, Georgia, Slovenia, and most recently, Latvia.

Dennis Schroder is the motor of the team, but if he plays like against Latvia in the quarterfinals once he made only four of 26 shots, things won’t be good for the German unit. However, Orlando’s forward, Franz Wagner, is back in the lineup, and he proved to be a hero in that most recent contest with 16 buckets and eight boards.

The US team is a big favorite here, but they showed signs of weakness against Lithuania and, previously, Montenegro. Both of these teams were big under the rim, which, fortunately for them, isn’t the case with the Germans, who don’t have some massive big guys in the paint. We expect to see Steve Kerr’s crew winning this one, though we wouldn’t bet on them to cover the spread.
