The USA and Mexico will compete in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League for the second time in three editions. It was a far smoother progression through to the final for Mexico, as they avoided an upset against the in-form Panama. Mexico effectively took the game away from their rivals before the half time break following efforts from Edson Alvarez and Julian Quinones. The scoring was completed in the second period by Orberlin Pineda with just over 20 minutes remaining of the 90.
