The final round of matches in Group A at the CONCACAF Gold Cup take place on Sunday, as the United States will be looking to claim victory that would see them top the standings. Trinidad & Tobago also need a win to secure a spot in the top two.

Before Betting On USA vs Trinidad & Tobago

The race for a qualifying spot in Group A will heat up on Sunday, as three teams could yet reach the next round of the Gold Cup. The USA are in pole position to secure their spot in the next round, as they currently sit top of the standings. They have picked up a win and a draw from their opening two matches.

The USA bounced back from a disappointing opening match on Wednesday, as they secured an excellent 6-0 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis. Jesus Ferreira was in excellent form in that match, as the forward netted a stunning hat-trick. Crucially, the wide winning margin means that they now have a three-goal advantage over Jamaica in the race for top spit.

Trinidad & Tobago could yet reach the next round of the Gold Cup, but they will need to claim maximum points against the USA in the final round of matches to achieve that feat. They currently sit third in the overall standings, but a win could put them through at the expense of the United States.

Trinidad will need to bounce back to winning ways on Sunday, as they were easily brushed aside in their previous match in the Gold Cup by Jamaica. That defeat now leaves them on the brink of elimination. Trinidad has a poor record against the USA, and that could be challenging to overlook before making a wager on the match this weekend.

This is a good final fixture in Group A for the United States, and they look challenging to oppose as they look for a final victory to secure top spot. We fully expect USA to claim victory by a wide-scoring margin this weekend.
