Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman will be in the co-main event of UFC 294, in a spectacle that promises a battle for the ages. Kamaru stepped in on short notice, but that doesn’t mean a thing, and we are sure that the Nigerian Nightmare is aiming for a stoppage win over the Russian.
Before Betting on Chimaev vs. Usman
Khamzat was supposed to fight Paulo Costa, but the Brazilian withdrew, and Usman stepped in. Borz is one of the most hyped guys in the UFC, and this will be a test of his skills and possibilities. Chimaev is undefeated so far with 12 wins in 12 appearances, the most recent against Kevin Holland, whom he smashed in 2:13 of the opening round.
Borz is a vicious wrestler whose power and stamina on the ground are unseen so far. Though, apart from Gilbert Burns and Holland, we can’t say that he faced some big-time fighters. He also has solid boxing skills, and we saw him eating a few excellent punches against Burns, indicating that his chin is reliable, too.
Kamaru lost his welterweight title against Leon Edwards, and he couldn’t regain it in the rematch. It is interesting that he dominated Edwards in the opening battle and that Rocky knocked him out with a desperate lucky shot. Until that point, Kamaru was one of the most confident champs, defending the title five times.
His power and his wrestling were unmatched. This will be his first UFC appearance in the middleweight division, and that should be interesting. Kamaru was huge for welterweight and often had the physical edge over his rivals. However, that can’t and won’t diminish his relentless style and domination shown over the years.

The Russian is coming into this one fired up, and the same goes for Kamaru, who needs a big win to become an immediate contender for the middleweight title. The reason why we pick Kamaru here is because his wrestling could present a problem for Khamzat, who never encountered a force on the mat like Usman’s.
