The 19-year-old is arguably the greatest NBA prospect since LeBron. The media hype surrounding this guy is incredible, and we need to add that for one foreigner, it’s something that hasn’t been seen before.
Wembanyama plays for the French side, Metropolitans 92, where he became this year’s French Pro A League MVP, the best scorer, and the best defender.
At 7-foot-3 and with a ballhandling skillset any guard in the league would envy, Wembanyama became the main prize at the upcoming draft, but the right to pick first fell into the hands of the San Antonio Spurs. Head coach Gregg Popovich will now have plenty of options on how to bring back the Spurs on top of the league.

Blocks Per Game Average
Wembanyama has been an elite shot-blocker so far. For instance, he set the FIBA record for blocks per game at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. Of course, with a 7-3 and a few inches longer wingspans, it’s easy for him to protect the rim from all over the court.
Points Per Game
He was the best scorer in the French championship, and that has to mean something, even though this league can’t compare with the NBA. But it shows that this kid has all the potential and can easily be upgraded.
Rebounds per game
Wembanyama is tall and has an incredible physique, but we need to understand that his body isn’t fully developed, and he lacks at least 15 pounds of muscle. So, seeing him surpass the 8.5 boards limit is a bit questionable.
