The Minnesota Vikings (7-2) will travel to Tennessee to play the 2-7 Titans. Our Vikings vs. Titans prediction is for favored Minnesota to cover the 6-point spread and the teams to combine to score more than 39.5 points.

Minnesota survived a tough slog in Week 10, defeating Jacksonville on the road 12-7. They are one game behind first-place Detroit and one game ahead of third-place Green Bay in the arduous NFC North.

Tennessee lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 27-17 in Week 10. They are playing out the season and looking forward to possibly securing the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Head-to-head, Minnesota leads with a 9-5 record.

Minnesota Must Cash In Against Bad Teams

This is Minnesota’s second consecutive game on the road against an opponent they “should” beat. They struggled in their victory at Jacksonville trailing 7-3 into the third quarter before three John Parker Romo field goals helped them pull it out.

Now they head to Tennessee for their last “easy” game of the season before playing seven straight against teams with playoff aspirations.

However, Tennessee is not a prototypical bad team. They have a solid defense, ranked 13th in rushing yards allowed per game and first in passing yards allowed per game. Their problem has been offensive production and turnovers.

In Week 10, the Vikings failed to score at least 20 points for the first time this season. Quarterback Sam Darnold was picked off by the Jaguars three times. Feature back Aaron Jones injured his ribs against Jacksonville but is expected to play. Darnold was limited in practice with a hand injury but will play.

Tennessee is in Flux at Quarterback

It’s an open question as to what Tennessee’s record would be if they had competent quarterbacking. Will Levis has frustrated first-year head coach Brian Callahan with his lack of ball security and penchant for taking unnecessary risks. While Levis was injured, backup Mason Rudolph struggled.

It would be silly not to think that the Titans are looking toward the draft at potential replacements including Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Georgia’s Carson Beck.

They have some weapons in running back Tony Pollard and receiver Calvin Ridley, but there is blatant frustration with Levis. Minnesota’s defense has struggled against the pass and is excellent against the run. Still, Levis is mistake-prone and if Minnesota clamps down on the run and forces Levis to pass, they should force turnovers.

Vikings vs Titans Prediction: Minnesota Wins by at Least a TD

Minnesota knows what’s at stake. They must keep pace with Detroit and win games against lower-level teams like Tennessee. They will win by more than 6.5 points and the teams will combine to score at least 40 points.
