One of the games on tap from Monday night’s NBA slate features the Golden State Warriors hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers. Our Warriors vs Cavaliers prediction foresees the Cavaliers rolling to another victory.

Warriors Have Struggled After Hot Start

After posting a 113-103 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 21, the Dubs dropped their next three contests before bouncing back with a 109-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.

Five players reached double figures in that contest, headlined by a solid effort from Jonathan Kuminga, who scored 34 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and handed out three assists.

Although Stephen Curry didn’t shoot the ball particularly well (9-22 FG and 4-13 3PT), he finished with 22 points, six rebounds and six assists. Draymond Green finished with 16 points, eight boards, and seven dimes. Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.

The Warriors trailed 87-82 heading into the fourth quarter. In the game’s final 12 minutes, they outscored the Suns by a 27-18 margin while holding them without a field goal over the final 6:48. This was Golden State’s 21st clutch game of the season, and the team improved their record to 9-12 in those games.

Cleveland Seeks To Extend Win Streak To Seven Games

The Cavaliers have reeled off six consecutive victories after a 122-113 setback against the Miami Heat on Dec. 8, including a 149-135 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. All of the Cavaliers’ starters scored in double figures, spearheaded by a 33-point effort from Donovan Mitchell. He shot 10-for-17 from the floor and 6-for-12 from beyond the arc. Mitchell also tallied six assists and five rebounds.

Evan Mobley added 25 points, six assists and five rebounds. Darius Garland contributed 25 points, seven assists, and four steals, while Jarett Allen contributed 22 points, 10 boards, four assists, and three steals. The Cavaliers trailed 53-50 early in the second quarter. But thanks to a 16-0 run, they outscored Denver 30 to 12 to take an 80-65 lead into the break and held a double-digit advantage for the rest of the game.

Cavaliers vs Warriors Prediction: Cleveland Sweeps The Season Series Against Golden State

The Warriors were 12-3 at one point and produced a 14-9 record through their first 23 games. However, in addition to a three-game losing skid, this group has dropped six of its last seven contests while giving up over 117 points per contest in those six losses.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers own the best record in the association. They have won six straight and are 9-1 across their last 10 outings. Although the Warriors are a top-10 defensive team, the Cavaliers’ high-octane offense will be too much when it’s all said and done. That said, look for Cleveland to roll to its seventh straight victory.
