One of the other games on tap from Monday night’s NBA slate features the Golden State Warriors hosting the Boston Celtics. Will Golden State stay hot in our Warriors vs Celtics prediction?

Warriors Seeking Third Three-Game Win Streak Of The Season

Following back-to-back losses against the Indiana Pacers (108-96) and the Toronto Raptors (104-101), the Dubs have responded with two straight victories. This includes a 116-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 15 and a 122-114 triumph against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

Andrew Wiggins produced one of his best games of the season. He scored a team-high 31 points, pulled down 11 boards, and handed out four assists. He also shot 40 percent from beyond the arc.

Stephen Curry finished with 26 points, six assists, and five rebounds before exiting the game with an ankle injury. Dennis Schroeder added 20 points and four assists, and Golden State got 39 points from its bench unit. Things weren’t going well for Golden State against the league’s worst team, as it trailed 60-53 at the break.

Fast forward to the fourth quarter, leading by a slim 104-103 margin, the Warriors went on an 11-2 run capped by two 3-point shots from Curry. The burst pushed the lead to 115-105 with two and a half minutes left in regulation.

Celtics Hope To Bounce Back From OT Loss To Hawks

After thrashing the Orlando Magic 121-94 on Friday, the Celtics dropped a 119-115 decision to the Atlanta Hawks just 24 hours later. Boston got key contributions from multiple players in the overtime loss. Jaylen Brown led the way with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.

Jayson Tatum added 23 points, eight boards, and seven dimes. Derrick White finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, and Payton Pritchard scored 20 points off the bench. Despite several players reaching double figures, Boston shot 38.5 percent from the field and 28.8 percent from 3-point range. Additionally, the Hawks enjoyed a 60-42 advantage in the paint.

Warriors vs Celtics Prediction: Boston Comes Out On Top

The Warriors have won three of their previous five games following consecutive losses against the Sacramento Kings and the Miami Heat. From a offensive standpoint, there isn’t much to get excited about as this squad is ranked 18th in scoring and 20th in offensive rating. However, the Warriors are a top-10 team at the other end of the court.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are just 8-8 across their last 16 contests. The good news is Boston has the third-highest scoring average in the league (117.5 PPG) and boasts the sixth-best defense as well. Golden State has won seven of the 18 games it has been listed as the underdog. On the other hand, Boston has been listed as the favorite 40 times, winning 29 of those contests. Given those trends, look for the Cs to get the win here.
