Will there be a passing of the torch in the Western Conference when the Golden State Warriors meet the Sacramento Kings in their first round playoff series? There is no shortage of trash talk leading up to this series which has the potential to be the most entertaining one of the first round – not to mention a high scoring one with Game 1 having a total of 237. Offshore oddsmakers feel the game could go either way, making Sacramento a slight -1 point favorite.

Before Betting on Warriors vs Kings Game 1

Golden State definitely has the postseason experience edge, making it to the NBA Finals in six of the last eight seasons while Sacramento is returning to the playoffs for the first time since the Chris WebberMike BibbyPeja Stojakovic era in the early 2000s.

This isn’t your usual Sacramento team, as they are a very talented club led by De’Aaron Fox (25.0 ppg) and Domantas Sabonis (19.1) but also with some very key role players like Kevin Huerter and Keegan Murray. The Kings have great team chemistry, the #1 scoring offense in the NBA (120.7) and a hometown crowd that is fired up to “light the beam.”

The Warriors were 44-38 this season which only garnered them a #6 seed – not great by their impressive standards. Still, many people think Golden State was just drifting through the regular season following their 2022 Championship, and the playoffs is when Steph Curry and company are going to turn things on.

Warriors vs Kings Game 1 Prediction & Pick

You have to wonder if Sacramento is going to be a bit too amped up on Saturday night after a 17-year playoff drought. The Warriors were an absolutely atrocious 11-30 on the road this season, but their playoff experience gives them the edge in Game 1.

Pick: Warriors +1
