Before Betting On Wells Fargo Championship

A high-quality event on the PGA Tour will be staged this weekend, as the Wells Fargo Championship is competed at Quail Hollow Club. This event typically attracts some of the best players on the tour, with the field competing in the stroke play event for their share of the $20 million purse.

The field will compete over a distance of 7,538 yards, with the par 71 event having been won by some of the best players to have played the sport. Wyndham Clark holds the aggregate record after finishing with a score of 265 when winning the Wells Fargo Championship in 2023. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy holds the par record after finishing 21-under in 2015.

McIlroy is also one of the most successful players in the history of the event after winning on three previous occasions. The 35-year-old will desperately be searching for a return to form this weekend after previously finishing outside of the top ten at the Zurich Open.

Xander Schauffele was last seen finishing in a tie for 18th at the RBC Heritage, and he brings some strong previous form into the event this weekend. The American finished second at the Wells Fargo Championship last year, but was four shots off the lead. Patrick Cantlay and Wyndham Clark will round off the leading contenders in the betting this weekend.
