Our prediction for West Ham vs. Chelsea is for both teams to share the points.

The Premier League weekend kicks off with a tasty-looking London derby, as West Ham host Chelsea at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Chelsea will be chasing a third away win of the season following a late success at Bournemouth, while West Ham are yet to reach their peak performance level under Julen Lopetegui this term.

It has been a positive enough start to the season for Enzo Maresca and his Chelsea side.

The Blues have recorded two wins from their opening four matches, with both victories being achieved in away matches.

So far this term, the Blues have netted seven goals on their travels, with six of those coming in a dominant win at Wolves.

Chelsea rode their luck in their most recent outing in the Premier League, with Christopher Nkunku netting a late winners at Bournemouth.

The success gave Chelsea their fourth straight win on the road, marking the first time that they have achieved that since under Thomas Tuchel in April 2022. It was also the first time that they had kept a clean sheet since a 2-0 win at Fulham in October 2023.

Julen Lopetegui has had teething problems in his first month in the Premier League with West Ham.

The Hammers come into this fifth match of the season having won just once this term, but things did appear to click into place before the international break following a 2-0 success at Crystal Palace.

They were unable to back up that success in their most recent outing after playing out a 1-1 draw at Fulham. But, positives would have been taken from their spirited display, with Danny Ings rescuing a point in the fifth minute of injury time.

It was their sixth-latest goal in the Premier League era, and their first goal so deep into an EPL fixture since the 2006-07 season.

West Ham vs. Chelsea Prediction

Chelsea have won three of their last five league matches against the Hammers, but they are winless at the London Stadium on their last three visits.

A cagey affair could be likely once again this Saturday, with the preference being for the points being shared.
