West Ham played a Europa League game on Thursday, while, on the other side Everton had enough time to prepare for this event. The Toffees are struggling to gain consistency, while the Hammers will have a check on their endurance.

Before Betting on West Ham vs. Everton

The Hammers lost in Athens to Olympiacos, 2-1, and that was the third game in a row for them without a victory. Previously, we’ve seen them losing to Aston Villa in Birmingham, 4-1. In both, the team looked a bit deflated, with the note that West Ham played without several starters in Athens.

The situation is different at home, where they have only one loss since the start of the campaign. That was in mid-October against Manchester City, against whom the Hammers lost 1-3. It is the only encounter in five at the London Stadium in which they haven’t netted at least twice.

Everton was defeated at the Merseyside Derby last weekend, 2-0, continuing to play hot and cold in the Premiership. After beating Brentford 1-3, they lost to Luton at home, 1-2, before thrashing Bournemouth, 3-0. The pressure on Sean Dyche eased a little bit, but he is still closely monitored by the board.

Everton’s games are efficient, which is a big surprise. Dyche is an ultra-defensive manager, but in recent times, the Toffees aren’t playing like that. Until the game against Liverpool, four in a row were with three or more goals, and even the one against the Reds could have ended more efficiently.

The Hammers have a home-field edge, and we need to take that into consideration here because their performances in London are much better than on the road. Everton goes up and down, oscillating a lot, as stated before, which is why we bet on the hosts to take all three points.
