There are few bigger rock bands in the world than Oasis, but there have also been few bigger bust-ups in music history than the same band. For a long time, there have been rumors circulating that Noel and Liam Gallagher could put their differences aside to reform Oasis, but could we see the band reform in 2023?
Before Betting On Oasis Reform In 2023
Oasis remains one of the biggest culture bands in recent history, with sounds from ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’ and ‘Definitely Maybe’ transcended childhoods for millions across the globe. However, the differences between the Gallagher brothers eventually led to Noel leaving the band in 2009. Liam and the remaining members of Oasis continued as Beady Eye, before the breakaway band later broke up in 2014.
Rumors of a reunion have been rife ever since, and those only grew momentum in 2020 as the band released their first single in over ten years with the demo of ‘Don’t Stop’. In July 2021, a concert film was released by the band, showing previously unseen footage from their legendary gig at Knebworth in 1996. The same location has been the muted location for a potential reunion, with Liam teasing that the band would get back together if Manchester City won the Champions League in 2023.
Plans have certainly gathered pace since that announcement, and venues are potentially being lined up for an Oasis festival at the Knebworth location for 2024. However, Noel has once again knocked back these claims, as he admitted in late April that no new material would be released by the band.
Will Oasis Reform in 2023 Offshore Odds
You can never say never when it comes to the Gallagher brothers, but this does certainly seem closer than we have ever been in terms of a reunion show. Recent reports have claimed that the brothers are back on speaking terms, and while no new music will be released, we could see a string of multi-million dollar shows coming. However, unfortunately, we don’t see that coming in 2023.
