Wolves on The Way Back to Glory
For your information, Wolverhampton was the most important English team during the 1950s, and they pretty much harassed the entire continent once meeting with teams from different countries. They are among the fallen giants in England, which is why they have a big motive to win this competition and make their way back to the top of the Premiership.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is a hard-working side, with several masterful players, and they aren’t keen on playing nice football but prefer to win at all costs. For example, the previous nine straight games in all the competitions played at Molineux ended with both teams not scoring, and six of them were under 2.5 goals.
Overall, each of their latest six victories ended with them keeping their net intact, and that is the trademark of this crew. They recently defeated Olympiacos Piraeus in the rematch of the EL round of 16, with 1-0. That secured the advance to the next stage after a draw in Greece, 1-1.
Sevilla After No.6
The Rojoblancos are the most successful team in the history of the Europa League and the UEFA Cup with five titles, all coming in this century. Really, this club has been more than dominant at some point, and many joked that Sevilla, in fact, owns the EL and that they intentionally want to play this competition.
Right now, they have 17 straight matches without a loss and are looking extremely confident. Their form is at the peak, with six wins in seven events, allowing just one goal during that span. That is their biggest weapon – strong defense.
Against Roma, we saw one very serious contender, who routinely handled one of the best teams in the competition, without experiencing the slightest trouble.
Sevilla isn’t that shinny on the road, with just three wins in the last eight matches, but with five draws apart form that.
Prediction
We need to say that from our perspective, both sides have equal chances for winning, but that we give the Spaniards one more percent, because of their experience. However, do know that Espirito Santo also won this competition with Porto as the player.
Still, we will focus on something already told at the start of the event – low efficiency. Under 2.5 goals in this match are set at -185 and that is out best choice for Tuesday’s clash.
