Wolves made a pleasing start to the new Premier League season, despite suffering defeat at Old Trafford. However, things don’t get any easier for the team from the Black Country on Saturday, as they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Molineux.

Before Betting On Wolves vs Brighton

There were clear doubts surrounding Wolves and their chances of survival in the Premier League this term. However, the Midlands side put on a pleasing display at Old Trafford in their opening match of the season, as they dominated for long periods, before suffering a 1-0 defeat. Once again, they had clear limitations in front of goal, as they failed to find the net despite registering the most shots of any away side at Old Trafford since 2005.

This hasn’t been a good fixture for Wolves in recent seasons, as they have lost each of their last three against the Seagulls in the Premier League. Those defeats came after going unbeaten in the previous six before hand. However, four of the nine matches between these two sides have ended in draws.

Brighton made an excellent start to their new season last Saturday, as they secured a straightforward 4-1 home win over Luton. The scoreline flattered the visitors, as the Seagulls could have easily won by five or six goals. The win means that Brighton have now failed to score in just one of their previous 29 Premier League matches. Over that period, they have scored in each of their last 14 away from home.

Brighton have excelled in their first away match of the Premier League season in the previous four campaigns, as they have landed four straight wins. However, only two teams in Premier League history have opened their campaign with an away win in five or more seasons. The Seagulls have also scored 12 goals across their three previous wins against Wolves, and have netted at least three in each of their previous two trips to the Black Country.
