The busy Premier League festive period continues on New Year’s Eve, as the early game in the competition will see Manchester United travel to Wolves. Both teams restarted the season with victories in their respective fixtures, and United could move into the top-four with victory in the Black Country on Saturday.
Before Betting On Wolves vs Manchester United
There was a lot of talk about Manchester United coming into the restart after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, but Erik ten Hag’s side have looked comfortable since returning to action with two wins being recorded at Old Trafford in all competitions. United returned to league action on Tuesday evening, and they looked extremely sharp by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0.
Marcus Rashford’s excellent form continued, as he scored the opening goal, before setting up Anthony Martial for United’s second. The Red Devils later added a third to show their dominance, with Fred scoring after coming from the bench following an excellent pass by Casemiro. United could move into the top four with victory on Saturday, while they could also go level on points with Manchester City.
Wolves also come into this fixture in good confidence, as they picked up only a third win of the season in their previous fixture. The success against Everton ended a run of five games without defeat, and was just the start that the new coach would have been dreaming of.
The victory was secured in dramatic fashion, as Rayan Ait-Nouri scored the dramatic winner in the fifth minute of injury time. Wolves had earlier came back from a goal down, with Daniel Podence netting the equalising goal after just 22 minutes. But, this will be a slightly different challenge against an in-form United.
