The final major of the golf season will be staged at the home of golf this weekend, as the best players on the LPGA Tour will be competing in the Women’s Open. This event has been held since 1976, and it will be contested at St Andrews Links for the third time. You can find the latest odds and picks for the event here.

Before Betting On Women’s Open

The major action isn’t over for the season just yet, as the last big championship on offer will be contested at St Andrews on the LPGA Tour this weekend. The Women’s Open is the fifth major of the season on the female tour, and it is the only competition at this level to be played in the United Kingdom. St Andrews will be hosting the event for the third time after previously housing the Women’s Open in 2007 and 2013.

The players involved this weekend will compete over a distance of 6,881 yards, with the par 72 event boasting a massive purse of $9 million. Karrie Webb and Karen Stupples hold the joint records in the Women’s Open, with both players finishing 19-under par with aggregate scores of 269.

Nelly Korda will be a prominent selection in the betting this weekend, as the American chases a third major honor. She has won 14 events on the LPGA Tour, but her best showing at the Women’s Open came back in 2019 when finishing in a tie for ninth. However, her performances this season highlight that she is one of the main contenders to beat.

Ayaka Furue will have the confidence coming into this major, after landing a first success at the highest level when securing the Evian Championship last month. The Japanese star finished in a tie for 20th at the Open last year, and has made the cut in all previous majors this season. Jin Young Ko could also have very interesting claims this weekend after finishing in a tie for sixth at the recent Scottish Open.
