Milwaukee sends former Cy Young award winner Corbin Burnes<\/strong> to the mound on what is expected to be a cold, pitcher-friendly day at Wrigley Field. Burnes’ ERA rose a bit last year, but it was still a solid 2.94 overall and 2.37 in three starts vs. the Cubs (0-1). <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Cubs will counter with Marcus Stroman<\/strong>, who got hot at times last year<\/a> but still finished 6-7 with a 3.50 ERA. Chicago won Stroman’s last four starts of 2022, so they hope some of that momentum carries over to 2023 and the right-hander did have success against Milwaukee going 1-0 with a 1.37 ERA in three starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
