Everybody in the AL East is currently looking up at the red hot Rays, but both the Blue Jays (11-8) and the Yankees (12-7) look poised to be in the division hunt for the long haul. Toronto is 7-6 on the road this season – not great, but right on par with the Yankees’ struggles at home as they’ve started off just 8-5 in the Bronx this year. The Blue Jays did hand Tampa Bay their first loss of the season<\/a> last Friday night, but went on to drop two of three in Houston and have been held to 2 runs or less in three of their last four overall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Yankees seem to be building momentum, winning four of their last five. The New York offense has yet to come around as they are 15th in runs (4.32) and 23rd in team BA (.232) but their pitching staff is a top five unit nearly a month into the 2023 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
