Things are going much better for Atlanta to start 2023, but they are just 4-3 at home on the year with all their wins coming by one run. Houston just wrapped up a 3-3 home stand and are also 3-3 away from Minute Maid Park on the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Braves have a pretty manageable price tag for for Friday’s series opener, and although they did lose 1-0 to the Padres on Wednesday that followed a streak of 8 straight wins. That’s much more momentum than a Houston club that has alternated wins and losses over their last 9 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Astros alternating W’s and L’s trend has been interesting to follow, as they’ve scored at least 8 runs in each of their last four wins but have been held to 2 runs or less in their last three losses. This seems like an all or nothing team that is due for a nothing outing according to recent numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
