The Brewers (34-32) had an absolutely atrocious weekend, getting swept by the worst team in MLB the Oakland A’s – and with all three games in Milwaukee. Oakland is just 18-50 on the season, so the Brewers will need a much better performance at Target Field against the Twins (33-33). Minnesota had a nice series in Toronto, taking two of three against the Blue Jays to put a 5-game losing streak in their rear view mirror. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Brewers are in a bit of a skid, but nothing can get a team back on track like having their ace on the mound. Corbin Burnes<\/strong> (5-4, 3.36 ERA) is coming off a stellar 8.0 IP with 0 ER allowed against Baltimore last Wednesday and he’s allowed just two hits in each of his two starts this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Twins counter with Pablo Lopez<\/strong> (3-3, 4.25 ERA) who has had two vastly different starts in June. On 6\/1 the right-hander allowed 6 ER over 5.2 IP but was able to bounce back in holding the Rays, one of the best offenses in baseball, to 1 ER over 7.0 IP last Wednesday<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
