The Kings did a lot of things well on Sunday, but they still come back to Edmonton down 3-1 in their first round series with the Oilers. Los Angeles only gave up 13 shots on goal in Game 4, but they had a second consecutive poor offensive showing in suffering the 1-0 defeat. The Oilers can punch their ticket to the conference semifinals with a win on Wednesday, but they did split the first two games of this series on their own ice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s been a tale of two offenses for the Kings in this series, who scored 9 total goals in the two games at Edmonton (4-7 L, 5-4 W) but they found the back of the net just once on 61 shots in the two contests back at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aside from their offensive questions, Los Angeles also switched up their goaltenders on Sunday<\/a> after Cam Talbot<\/strong> surrendered 6 goals in Game 3 – albeit on 40 shots. David Rittich<\/strong> only faced 13 shots in Game 4 and the one goal he did give up was on the power play so it will be interesting to see who Jim Hiller goes with in net for Game 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
