Detroit has to be a little bit fatigued after splitting a double-header at home vs. the Pirates on Wednesday, but Boston has also lost four of their last six so pick your poison in this matchup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"before-betting-on-may-30-tigers-vs-red-sox\">Before Betting on May 30 Tigers vs Red Sox<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Detroit is coming off a double-header which is always a tough order, especially when Wednesday was so mismatched with an 8-0 win over the Pirates during the day but then a crushing 10-2 defeat in the night cap. The Tigers had won four in a row prior to splitting the double-header, including a wild 14-11 victory over the Blue Jays over the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course the biggest thing about a quick turnaround after a double header is the status of Detroit&#8217;s bullpen. <strong>Tarik Skubal<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freep.com\/story\/sports\/mlb\/tigers\/2024\/05\/29\/detroit-tigers-doubleheader-game-1-pittsburgh-pirates-tarik-skubal-matt-vierling\/73895963007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">threw 7.0 IP in the day game<\/a> and <strong>Mason Englert<\/strong> threw a perfect 2.0 IP to complete the win. <strong>Keider Montero<\/strong> only tossed 4.1 IP in the late contest though and <strong>A.J. Hinch<\/strong> had to use four relievers to get through the 10-2 loss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#39;s always great to have Skubal firing but obviously helpful for bullpen to get as far as he did in this <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Tigers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Tigers<\/a> double header. The Tigers have also lost five of Flaherty&#8217;s last six starts though. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston counters with <strong>Nick Pivetta<\/strong> (2-3, 4.20 ERA) who has made four starts this month and allowed 5+ ER in two of those.
