Simply look across the NBA rosters and you will see many of the all-stars have either missed games or are currently nursing major injuries. \u00a0A few of these injuries will absolutely affect the outcome of this year\u2019s playoff picture and we are only a few games in.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"hayward-fractured-tibia\">Hayward Fractured Tibia<\/h2>\n<p>You didn&#8217;t have to be watching the <strong>Boston Celtics<\/strong> opening-night to know that there was a major injury that will affect the rest of their season. Social media blew up on Tuesday night as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boston.com\/sports\/boston-celtics\/2017\/10\/18\/what-we-know-about-gordon-haywards-injury\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Gordon Hayward<\/strong> suffered a gruesome ankle injury<\/a> on national TV. \u00a0Hayward&#8217;s dislocated and fractured left tibia was set back in place while Hayward laid on the court.<\/p>\n<p>The injury occurred on Tuesday night as the Celtics took on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving threw up an alley oop to Hayward when Lebron James went up to contest the dunk. \u00a0James and Hayward met in the air and when Hayward landed the injury occurred. \u00a0The Boston Celtics confirmed on Wednesday that he will need surgery to repair the injury and Dr. David J Chao stated that there is a slim chance that <strong>Hayward could return late in the season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"jeremy-lin-ruptured-patella-tendon\">Jeremy Lin Ruptured Patella Tendon<\/h2>\n<p>If you are a<strong> Brooklyn Nets<\/strong> fan, you have also been affected this week major injury. \u00a0On Wednesday night Brooklyn Nets guard <a href=\"http:\/\/ftw.usatoday.com\/2017\/10\/brooklyn-nets-jeremy-lin-knee-injury-moment-tears-im-done-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jeremy Lin<\/strong> sustained a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee<\/a> that will force him to miss the rest of the 2017-2018 regular-season. The 8 year veteran of the NBA could be visibly seen saying, &#8220;I&#8217;m Done&#8221; and crying in tears after sustaining the injury on the court.<\/p>\n<p>Lin was the lone bright spot for the Net&#8217;s this year and now will be hard to convince Brooklyn fans that the Net&#8217;s have any chance of competing in the conference. \u00a0Unlike Hayward, Lin has no chance to return this year and that leaves the Brooklyn Nets searching for a replacement. \u00a0The nets only have about <strong>$3.4 million<\/strong> and practical salary-cap room but can apply for that to be increased to $6 million by January 15.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"cp3-bruised-knee\">CP3 Bruised Knee<\/h2>\n<p>For Houston fans, the anticipation coming into the season was filled with mixed reviews as everyone question whether <strong>CP3<\/strong> and the beard could coexist on the court together. \u00a0That decision still remains in limbo as <strong>Chris Paul<\/strong> will miss at least the next 3 weeks with a <strong>bruised left knee<\/strong>. \u00a0Of all the injuries, Houston will be affected the least. The Rockets will do fine with James Harden running the offense.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"odds-shift-due-to-injuries\">Odds Shift Due To Injuries<\/h2>\n<p>With these <strong>major injuries<\/strong> around the league, it has caused a shift in the odds at <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.offshoresportsbooks.com\/review\/\">most of our top sportsbooks<\/a> on who will win the\u00a0<strong>2017-2018 NBA Championship Finals<\/strong>. \u00a0The Golden State Warriors have benefited the most with the recent injuries.
