Washington (39-44) is back from a jet-setting road trip that saw visits to Colorado, San Diego, and Tampa Bay so we will see if fatigue sets in for a team that was just 3-6 in that stretch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"before-betting-on-july-1-mets-vs-nationals\">Before Betting on July 1 Mets vs Nationals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nationals are just 4 games back from the third wild card spot and they&#8217;re getting some reinforcements for the second half of the season with the expected debut of outfielder <strong>James Wood<\/strong> on Monday night. Gore went 2-3 last month but with a 5.13 ERA that got off on the wrong foot after allowing allowing 6ER over 4.1 IP in an 8-7 loss to these Mets on June 3rd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Peterson<\/strong> (3-0, 3.67 ERA) starts for the Mets on Monday in a battle of left-handed pitchers.
