The opening game of the men’s basketball Olympics tournament will be between Australia and Spain. These two teams are the favorites to clinch the medal and, therefore, direct rivals here in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Aussies played well during the test period, losing only to the US team, 98-92, though, pushing hard near the end and cutting a double-digit deficit. But before and after we saw them beat China, Serbia led with Jokic, Puerto Rico, and, in the end, the host nation of the Olympics, France, 83-82.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Patty Mills is the leader of the team, but he receives a lot of help from the newly acquired Chicago Bulls guard, Josh Giddey. Them two combined 44 points against France. Mills is more of an attacker, while Giddey takes over the playmaking duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
