We think this is going to be a real war inside the Octagon as both fighters are famous for their fighting spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also predict the co-main event \u2013 Rob Font vs. Kyler Phillips \u2013 will be a fun fight to watch as well. We also think that the fight card opener, Austen Lane vs. Robelis Despaigne is going to be a hell of a fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For all these reasons, we decided to do a preview including all UFC Fight Night predictions, in which we\u2019ll share our top picks for the October 19 event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"austen-lane-vs-robelis-despaigne\">Austen Lane vs. Robelis Despaigne<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Austen Lane<\/td><td>-450<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Robelis Despaigne<\/td><td>+350<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This Saturday is going to be a big day in the heavyweight division. The <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.offshoresportsbooks.com\/news\/pfl-predictions-francis-ngannou-renan-ferreira-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ngannou vs. Ferreira fight<\/a> starts at 12:30 p.m., and a few hours later, the UFC Fight Night will kick off with a heavyweight clash between Austen Lane and Robelis Despaigne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a few months ago, Despaigne was thought of as the next big thing in the heavyweight division, after going 5-0. But then, Waldo Cortes-Acosta beat him. For that, he needs to beat Austen Lane, who\u2019s a very similar type of fighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despaigne is 6\u20197, while Lane is one inch shorter. Despaigne has a win-to-knockout ratio of 100%, while Lane\u2019s KO percentage is 91.66%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only difference is that Lane has five losses in his portfolio, each of which happened by KO\/TKO. We think his sixth loss by this method will happen on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rob-font-vs-kyler-phillips\">Rob Font vs. Kyler Phillips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Rob Font<\/td><td>+325<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Kyler Phillips<\/td><td>-450<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rob Font is 37 years of age, and he\u2019s lost four of his last five fights. Does this mean the end is near for his UFC career? Not if he beats Kyler Phillips at UFC Fight Night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, can he pull it off? We think he can. The thing is that those four losses each happened by decision. Plus, in each of those fights, he fought against real elite fighters of the UFC Bantamweight division, namely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jose Aldo \u2013 Font lost this fight despite lading 149 significant strikes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marlon Vera \u2013 In this fight, Font landed 271 significant strikes, his career high.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cory Sandhagen \u2013 Font couldn\u2019t handle The Sandman\u2019s superior wrestling, suffering seven takedowns in 25 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deiveson Figueredo \u2013 Despite lading one strike more than Figgy, he lost the fight after getting taken down four times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s been almost a year since his last fight, so Font has probably worked hard on improving his TD defense. Even though he\u2019s locking horns against a prolific judoka, we think he\u2019ll be able to deal with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"anthony-hernandez-vs-michel-pereira\">Anthony Hernandez vs. Michel Pereira<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Fighter<\/th><th>Odds<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Anthony Hernandez<\/td><td>-132<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Michel Pereira<\/td><td>+112<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Anthony Hernandez has made himself famous for his incredible grappling. Eight of his 12 wins happened by submission, including the one against Rodolfo Vieira, which won him the Submission of the Year award by Combat Press, Jitsmagazine, and Cageside Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s a dangerous grappler, but this doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s a one-trick pony. He\u2019s a great wrestler with 6.62 TDs on average. We think Fluffy has the set of skills that Demolidor won\u2019t be able to deal with. Among those are Matheus Nicolau and Brad Katona. Still, the biggest longshot bet is Font, but we feel he\u2019s going to upset the odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, if you wanna play it safe, stick to UFC Fight Night favorites such as Charles Johnson, Joselyne Edwards, and Robelis Despaigne.
